School Programs

Project SAME

We started our school-agency partnership with District 87 in the 1990s to help students and families with difficulties in attendance, discipline, and academics. This partnership has grown into the multi-service Project SAME, in both Unit 5 and District 87, which uses the talents of our Specialist staff, the resources of our agency, our knowledge of McLean County, and our dedication to the lives of young people.

HYPE Youth Groups

HYPE (Helping Youth Progress and Excel) is students who want to help other students. Members provide mentoring, tutoring, assistance with conflict resolutions, and engage in activities that help them learn and use leadership skills. There are HYPE groups at Bloomington Junior High, Normal Community West High School, Normal Community High School, and the flagship group at Bloomington High School. Contact the School Youth Specialist for information on how to join.
